Story Contest for “Fallen Cone at the Horn of Plenty”

Is there anything that screams “summer” more than ice cream?  We don’t think so!

Artist Mary Anne Erickson has painted this iconic roadside attraction and it will be part of a group show of photo-realism at the Wired Gallery in High Falls from July 20 – September 29.

So Erickson and the Woodstock Writers Festival have teamed up to do what we do so well… we’re having a writing contest.

Tell us the best story you can about this image.  Make it evocative.  Make it interesting.  Make it fresh.

You’ve got 300 words or less: so choose them wisely.

The winner will get an 11×17″ giclee print of the piece – archival printing by Woodstock Graphics Studio

Also, and here’s the best part, the story will be framed and hang next to the original for the duration of the show!
